Apistogramma cruzi “Melgar/Malay” F2 

This is a medium sized Apistogramma, males will reach 3″, while females stay slightly smaller, around 2-3″. I have found this to be a particularly aggressive species, they will do best in a 20 gallon long, at the least. Larger tetra species work well as dither fish to divert some of their aggression, I’ve used emperor tetras and cherry barbs. The fish for sale are currently about 1″ in length and are just starting to be sexually dimorphic.
